\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tFor a child recovering from cancer, returning to school after treatment is one of the integral steps to re-establishing normalcy. Yet, this can be a daunting experience. To support this transition, CCF has established the Place for Academic Learning and Support (PALS), which provides a safe, trauma-informed space that nurtures each child\u2019s learning, confidence, and reintegration into mainstream education. More than just a place of learning, PALS offers a sense of normalcy, helping students regain confidence and stability in their educational journey. Established in 2009, CCF\u2019s Community Social Work Team (CSWT) supports children and youths surviving cancer and their families with post-treatment needs. Offering Casework, Counselling, Therapeutic Play, Financial Assistance, and other programs, CSWT provides continuous care, promoting holistic development and improving the quality of life.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

When a child falls ill, siblings may feel neglected and show emotional or behavioral responses. Similarly, when an adult is diagnosed with cancer, children in the family are affected.
